Established in 1972 as a non-profit volunteer organization, The Gardens at Heather Farm serves as a sanctuary in the heart of Walnut Creek, CA. With over 6.5 acres of lush gardens, including native gardens, pollinator gardens, and a renowned Rose Garden, The Gardens remains dedicated to remaining free and open to the public 7 days a week. Beyond the generous support of our members, donors, visitors, and volunteers, we host spring and fall plant sales to help sustain the gardens and support our education programs. The plants we sell are grown and cared for by a dedicated team of volunteers who share a passion for plants and community. Volunteers use our vast gardens as a source of seeds and cuttings from which they grow our nursery stock, from our hands to your gardens.
