Plant description

Winecup Clarkia (Clarkia purpurea ssp. purpurea) is a native annual herb that grows in Northern, Southern and Central California, primarily in the Sacramento Valley, the San Joaquin Valley and Central Coast regions. It tends to grow in open, grassy or shrubby places, at elevations from 0-500 feet.
